It is important to note that the incident in question did NOT occur in the Blue Shark. The news headlines you have seen are merely using the Blue Shark to reference the location on 7th Avenue. This is not uncommon in the media and certainly from the standpoint of business owners who care about the quality and safety of their hosted environments, perhaps a little more than unfair. Having spoken to the staff personally, I can report that, aside from its proximity to this street-side incident, the Blue Shark is only notable for its role in offering immediate assistance to the situation as well as coordinating appropriate emergency response. That's the sort of helpful place and well-spirited environment the Blue Shark is all about, and we regulars know this already. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another reason to come in off the street and enjoy the safety, music, and fun times of the Blue Shark! Kudos to everyone on the spot, and, I for one, am dropping in this weekend to raise a glass to the staff. |
