BIRTHERS

I'm tired of "Birthers" ... Obama was born in Hawaii. Period. The end. If he was not, you would have to believe that two newspapers, two governors, and the entire political system has conspired to support this claim for 40 + years. If you believe this, then you are very stupid.

Also, not for nothing, but if he had been born in Kenya, his mother was an American and therefore he would have been an American citizen anyway. duh. If you think the "citizen for 5 years after 14" applies to a native born American, then you are mega ultra stupid.

What these people really mean is that they don't like that they have a Democrat, or a black man, or even this particular man as president. Welcome to my world. The previous 8 years sucked for me, the next 4 will suck for you, except that we might possibly not start any new wars (no promises, though. Democrats are as war hungry as Republicans. ugh!).

Their name "Birthers" is a twist on the 9-11 conspirists "Truthers" ... and boy, does that hit the nail on the head. There is no amount of expert testimony, no amount of released documents or evidence to satisfy either of these groups. Here's a hint, you two: A theory without proof is useless. Bring evidence or go away!

HEALTHCARE DEBATE

What, really, is the debate? Apparently it's how we can get a healthcare plan that won't change anything for anyone much but might actually help a handful of the jobless. Good gravy, people! A profit-driven medical system is KILLING us! Literally!

But no. Even though they can rubber stamp every military spending bill, suddenly Republicans and conservative Democrats think we have a budget problem if we make a national healthcare system. Actually, that isn't true. They are getting a TON from insurance companies and big pharma. But the reason they give is that this modest and nearly insignificant proposal will be a budget nightmare. In the meantime, we continue to build debt on two wars that they never even considered looking at the price tag.

What we will end up with at best is a fig leaf that pretends to be a healthcare fix but will almost certainly be another giveaway to corporations. Yay! Can we move on, now?

SARAH PALIN

She will make millions of dollars once she's out of office. Whatever. Those that love her will continue to do so. Those that don't will keep making fun of her. Whatever else Palin was, she was the reason the Presidential election didn't even get close.

She will become a pundit, a talk show host, or a footnote. Whatever she does I want to be on record saying I don't care.

TWITTER

I use it, but I don't feel a need to talk about it all the time. Hey everyone! People like to communicate with others in tiny sound bites! Wow!

...okay, that's that. You all have a nice day!
