Trying to keep up to date with all the latest PC and web based applications while also in the middle part of a major relocation project is not easy. Back when I had far more time and at least far more capacity to unwisely spend my money, I had many of the latest gadgets and all access to the new online trends I could ever hope for in the most timely of fashion. It also helped that my job during that period, in a particularly liberal environment, kept me exposed to new developments as a matter of profession.
Now, everything is a result of personal curiosity and the best access I can manage, in the shortest amount of time. Is this a recipe for commentary fail, or beauty? Too soon to tell.
I prefer to believe at the moment that there is a unique place for my pace in time and adoption that more than most accurately befits the typical web user today. The economy has crushed the idea of free-wheeling Circuit City shopathons using credit cards. In fact the economy has crushed Circuit City. So in a way, we're all in this boat of more casual appreciation for all things tech. Those of you with extra mouths to feed and jobs that never quite pay enough - have been in said boat as a matter of course for much longer, in fact.
