Getting Out While I Can...
Last week I boarded the 7 train for work and eavesdropped on a conversation between 2 men. The first asked the second what he was doing this weekend and the second man replied, "I'm going to walk the city, you know, before it gets too cold."

Decorated Bush outside Bryant Park. People mull about in coats.
A perfect sentiment. Walking this city is a joy and a reward in and of itself. I would have thought that this was something only I felt, being somewhat a newbie here and still mesmerized by it all. But, the conversation was proof that in fact this spirit is shared by everyone. I made the same comment to myself when the air started to chill and peak to coat level status.
There are still some places I haven't been that I'd like go that I will definetely put in the "next Spring" category. But getting around and circulating the parks and open public spaces might be something of a priority next weekend before the real winter weather settles in.
