I re-engineered Yard Bark so that, finally, it is about as generic an online classified advertising system as it could possibly be. It's boring without a driving angle to it, but maybe its renewed simplicity will somehow to serve it for the better in the longrun.
This is the famous Google Wave Demo video making the rounds.
I also watched Google's Wave video above. I am hopelessly skeptical any time that I hear that something is "a new way" to do something online. Usually its a an old way repackaged, or, re-introduced when people are suddenly receptive to it. Google Wave is a web based collaberation tool that, according to its own mantra, seeks to combine a little of e-mail, blogging, and instant messaging into a unified communication and work tool where multiple parties work together across a network (like the Internet).
So, for people doing that sort of thing, this is pretty exciting. For others, it may seem like just so much more hype or a reason to adopt some complicated trans-network project for the first time in your life just to have an excuse to use it. Otherwise it may seem far more complicated than anything one would want to deal with in seeking to just check their e-mail.
