Last week around the anniversary of September 11 there were a number of bomb scares called in to some universities that resulted in dread, fear, and the clearing out and disruption of activities at them.  Bad deal all the way around.  Well, at least one individual made it easy for police to knock on his door, quite literally, when cops say he used a deactivated cell phone to dial 9-1-1 and lodge one of these threats against Louisiana State University (or LSU).

They believe that William Bouvay Jr. decided to fast-track himself to an arrest when, for reasons as of yet unknown, he used the phone which thus gave away his position to investigators. Sort of...at least one report indicates that his choice of modus operandi only drew police to a small cluster of specific homes which were then searched manually. During the process, police say, Bouvay followed the precedence set by his cell phone and confessed. A new Perp Turkey. It's surprising how many people are not yet aware that cell phones are, generally, now capable of giving 911 operators their precise location.
