Of digestible note is the fact that Jay Kline will make a presentation on lessons learned while building and developing out the Dallas Texas light rail system, DART. Dallas's implementation of light rail is interesting for a number of reasons. It is a southern based capital project in one of the most conservative states in the country. The twist? Despite the very same arguments masterfully and "intelligently" posed against light rail in Dallas prior to its construction, the system is a widely considered a success in providing transportation choice.
